You sponsor a hive in the apiary for a year. We look after it, you receive its honey and a report on how it fared.
A hive in your name, honey at your door
Every adopted hive carries a plaque with the name you choose. Through the year we send real updates from the apiary, and at each harvest you receive the honey that came out of your hive, identified with its own batch. It's a gift that lasts a full year and a direct way to keep the apiary going.

Why adopt a hive?
Let's be straight: it isn't the cheapest way to buy honey. A single jar costs far less per kilo. Adopting is something else: you keep a hive alive for a year, you know exactly which one your honey came from, you see the apiary from the inside, and you help put more pollinators in the area. As a gift it lasts a whole year rather than an afternoon.
Can I visit the hive I adopt?
Yes, and it's included in every plan. The visit is guided and arranged by appointment: we lend you the protective gear and take you to your hive. Sponsor includes a visit for two, Double sponsor for four. The dry season is the best time, when the colony is most active and the apiary is easiest to reach.
How much honey can I take from my own hive?
Whatever your plan includes: 2 kg a year on Sponsor, in two deliveries of 1 kg, and 4 kg on Double sponsor, across four deliveries. A healthy hive produces considerably more, but the rest stays where it belongs, part feeds the colony through the rains and part sustains the apiary. Your delivery is fixed and doesn't change with a good or bad year.
What happens if the hive dies?
We replace it at no cost and your deliveries carry on unchanged. Losing colonies is part of the trade: weather, agrochemicals from neighbouring farms, disease. That risk is ours, not yours. And if it happens, we tell you in the quarterly report, we don't hide it.
How do I identify my hive?
It carries a plaque with the name you choose and a code of its own. That code appears in the reports we send and on the honey you receive: every delivery ships with its batch, and the batch tells you which hive it came from, which bloom and which date. It's the same traceability system we use across the apiary.
